VITA Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sthealth Integrators LLC ("VITA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the VITA mobile app, visit our website at vitabracelet.com, or join our waitlist (together, the "Service").
VITA is a wellness app, and much of what you share with it is health information. We treat it as sensitive.
The short version:
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never use your health information for advertising.
- If you allow tracking when VITA asks, we tell Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when you open the app, sign up, and make a purchase, so we can measure and show our ads. If you don't, VITA sends Meta nothing. Nothing you log and nothing from Apple Health is ever shared with Meta.
- Your cycle tracking records stay on your phone. They are not stored on our servers.
- Some features only work by sending information to Google's AI service. Section 4 lists exactly which features and exactly what they send.
- You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
1. Information we collect
Your account
To create an account we collect your email address, a password, your first and last name, your date of birth, and your gender. Your password is handled by our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication, and we never see it. We use your date of birth and gender to calculate calorie and nutrition targets.
You can also add profile details such as your height, weight, goal weight, activity level, fitness goal, sleep and meal schedule, and macronutrient settings.
We also keep a record of which version of our terms and medical disclaimer you agreed to, and when.
What you log
When you use VITA, we store what you record: meals and nutrition, water, weight, sleep and naps, workouts and focus sessions, goals, your wellness score history, custom recipes, saved workouts, program progress (including the weights you lift), and your food lists and folders. If you use VITA Journal, we store the habit tags you choose for each day, such as alcohol or a stressful day. This information is saved to your account so it syncs across your devices.
Daily usage counts
Some AI features have daily limits (Section 4). To apply them, we keep a count of how many times you used each of those features on each day, such as how many FoodSnap photos you analyzed. The counts are stored with your account.
Cycle tracking
If you turn on Cycle Tracking, the periods, symptoms, and temperatures you log stay on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers. We store only the fact that the Cycle Tracking module is turned on for your account and, if you use AI insights, how many insights you requested on the most recent day you used them and when you last requested one, so we can apply a daily limit. That count is replaced the next day you request an insight. If you also turn on AI insights for Cycle Tracking, a small summary is sent to Google's AI service to write your insight, as described in Section 4. You can turn AI insights off at any time.
Photos
- Progress photos (optional). If you use VITA Progress, the front, side, and back photos you take are stored in your account in Google Cloud Storage and analyzed by Google's AI service to write your progress report.
- FoodSnap meal photos. When you photograph a meal, the photo is sent to Google's AI service to estimate what it contains. We do not store the photo.
- Profile photo (optional). If you set one, we store it in your account.
- Barcode scanning. Barcodes are read on your device. The camera image is not sent anywhere. Only the barcode number is sent, as described in Section 3.
Voice
When you use Talk to VITA, your speech is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition service, which may process your audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. The resulting text is then sent to our servers and to Google's AI service so VITA can understand and carry out your request. We do not store your audio or your transcripts.
Apple Health
If you give permission, VITA reads data from Apple Health. VITA does not write anything to Apple Health.
Depending on what you allow and which features you use, VITA may read: steps, walking and running distance, exercise time, active energy, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, body weight, workouts, body fat percentage, VO₂ max, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, sleeping wrist temperature, and menstrual flow.
- Steps, sleep, active minutes, and active calories, along with the recovery score VITA calculates, are saved to your account. So are workouts and body weight you import.
- Raw heart rate variability, raw resting heart rate, body fat percentage, VO₂ max, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature stay on your device.
Apple Health data is used only to provide features inside VITA. We never use it for advertising or marketing, we never sell it, and we never share it with data brokers. Apple Health access is optional, and you can change it at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.
Location
If you start a GPS workout, such as an outdoor run, VITA uses your location for the duration of that workout, including while the app is in the background. Your route is used to show the live map on your device. Your route is not saved and is not sent to our servers. The saved workout keeps only its type, start time, and duration. Location access is optional.
The VITA bracelet
The VITA bracelet is currently in limited testing and is not available to the public. The readings it collects, such as heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and motion, are stored on the paired phone. We will update this policy before bracelet data is stored on our servers or shared.
Our website and waitlist
When you visit vitabracelet.com, our website platform, Shopify, collects standard browsing information, such as the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your IP address, and uses cookies to run the site and measure visits.
If you join our waitlist, we collect your name and email address so we can tell you about VITA and the VITA bracelet. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. If you ask about investing in VITA, we also collect your company or fund so our team can reply. Waitlist sign-ups and investor inquiries are stored in HubSpot, our contact management provider.
If you write to us through our contact form, we receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, and message.
Information collected automatically
- App analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features people use, for example that a meal was logged or a module was activated. These events are linked to an identifier for your app installation. They do not include your health measurements, such as weight, calories, sleep, or scores.
- Crash reports. We use Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes. Crash reports include device and app details and are linked to your account ID.
- Diagnostics. Apple's MetricKit provides performance and stability reports, such as hangs and slow launches, which we send to Crashlytics. They do not include your personal information.
- Push notification token. A token lets us deliver notifications you have enabled.
- Advertising measurement, only if you allow tracking. See "Meta" in Section 3.
- IP address. Any server your device connects to, including ours, RevenueCat's, Meta's if you allow tracking, and the food databases in Section 3, receives your device's IP address as a normal part of the connection.
Purchases
VITA+ and our paid features are sold through Apple's App Store, and payments are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to record and verify purchases: when you sign in, the app identifies you to RevenueCat by your VITA account ID, and RevenueCat tells us what you have bought. We store what you own and until when, your subscription status, the App Store transaction identifiers for your purchases, and whether a purchase was made in Apple's test environment. If you took part in our beta, we also store a record of any complimentary access we gave you.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and personalize VITA's features, including your wellness score, daily plan, nutrition and weight tracking, programs, modules, and AI-assisted features.
- Sync your data across your devices.
- Send reminders and notifications you have enabled.
- Verify purchases and give you access to what you have bought.
- If you allow tracking, measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and show VITA ads there, including to you and to people with similar interests (Section 3).
- Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Find and fix bugs and crashes, and improve the Service.
- Respond to your requests and provide support.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.
3. Who we share information with
We share information with the service providers that help us run VITA, only as needed to provide the Service, and, if you allow tracking, with Meta for advertising, as described below.
- Google (Google Cloud and Firebase). We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Crashlytics, along with Cloud Run to host our servers and Vertex AI for the features in Section 4. Your account data is stored in Google Cloud in the United States.
- FatSecret. When you search for a food, scan a barcode, or ask Talk to VITA to log a food, your device sends the search words, barcode number, or food name directly to the FatSecret food database to get nutrition information. No account details are sent. FatSecret receives your device's IP address.
- Open Food Facts. When FatSecret has no match for a barcode you scan, your device sends that barcode number directly to Open Food Facts, a non-profit, open food database, to look up nutrition information. The request also includes your device's language setting and the VITA app version with our company contact address. No account details are sent. Open Food Facts receives your device's IP address.
- RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat records and verifies App Store purchases. It receives your VITA account ID and your purchase history, and stores them on its own systems.
- Apple. Apple Health (on your device, with your permission), speech recognition for Talk to VITA, the App Store for purchases and subscriptions, and Apple's privacy-preserving ad attribution (SKAdNetwork). When you first open VITA, the app registers the install with Apple. If you installed VITA from an ad, Apple may later tell the network that showed the ad, anonymously and after a delay, that it led to an install. Apple includes no identifier for you or your device, and this happens whether or not you allow tracking.
- Shopify. Our website runs on Shopify, which processes website visits and contact form messages for us.
- HubSpot. HubSpot stores the names, email addresses, and company names submitted through our website's waitlist and investor forms.
- Instagram and Facebook stories, only if you choose. If you share your streak card to a story, VITA hands the image, which shows your first name and streak, to the app you pick.
-
Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), only if you allow tracking. VITA includes Meta's software development kit to measure how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work and to show VITA ads there, including to you and to people Meta finds similar to our users. After you finish setting up VITA, iOS asks whether VITA may track you. Only if you tap Allow:
- VITA tells Meta when you open the app (Meta counts the first time as your install) and when you create your account.
- RevenueCat tells Meta about each purchase you make: the product, its price and currency, and your VITA account ID.
- With these, Meta receives your device's advertising identifier, an identifier Meta's software creates for your installation of VITA, your IP address, and basic device information such as model, iOS version, language, and time zone. Meta may use your IP address to estimate your approximate location.
- Meta can connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account, and uses it under Meta's own privacy policy.
We never send Meta what you log in VITA, anything from Apple Health, anything about Cycle Tracking, your name, or your email address. If you don't allow tracking, VITA doesn't start Meta's software and sends Meta nothing. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you turn tracking off after allowing it, VITA stops sending events to Meta right away, and RevenueCat stops sending your purchases to Meta the next time you open VITA signed in to that account.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or others, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to protect your information.
We do not sell your personal information. The only information we share for advertising is what goes to Meta when you allow tracking, described above.
4. AI-assisted features
Several VITA features use Google Vertex AI (Gemini). When you use one of them, the information listed below is sent to Google's AI service to produce your result. Your name and email address are not included. Under Google Cloud's terms, this information is processed to generate your results and is not used to train Google's AI models.
| Feature | What is sent |
|---|---|
| Talk to VITA | The text of what you said. |
| FoodSnap | Your meal photo, and any correction you type. |
| VITA Progress | Your check-in photos and your baseline photos, your note, your fitness goal, and the number of days since your baseline. |
| Meal Creator and VITA Recipes | What you are craving, servings and meal preferences, your fitness goal, your body weight (to set a protein target), your average daily calories over the last 14 days, and the names of recent recipes. |
| Workout Creator | Your chosen focus, equipment, and time, your fitness goal, and your approximate body weight. |
| Cycle Tracking AI insights (only if turned on) | A summary only: your cycle day and phase, average cycle length, number of completed cycles, days until your next predicted period, whether your temperature has risen for three nights, and your wrist temperature change. Your individual period, symptom, and temperature records are not sent. |
Talk to VITA messages are also checked for signs of a medical emergency, and a message that suggests one is answered with emergency guidance.
We store some AI results in your account so you can see them later, such as progress reports and saved recipes.
AI-generated content is an estimate. It can be wrong, and it is not medical advice.
5. Storage, security, and retention
Your information is stored on your device and in Google Cloud in the United States (the us-central1 region, in Iowa). We use encryption in transit and at rest, and access controls that restrict each account's data to that account. Purchase and access records can be changed only by our servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information. Apple and RevenueCat also keep records of your purchases on their own systems.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- We delete your account data from our database and storage, including your photos, and we delete your sign-in records.
- Our database backups may retain deleted data for up to 7 days, after which it is permanently removed.
- Analytics and crash report data are kept according to our providers' retention periods.
- Information already sent to Meta is kept by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy. Deleting your VITA account doesn't delete it from Meta.
- Server logs, which may contain your account ID, are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- We may keep information where required by law or to prevent fraud, and we may keep information that has been de-identified so that it can no longer be linked to you.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and correct. You can view and edit most of your information in the app.
- Delete. You can delete your account and its data at any time in Profile › Account › Delete Account, or by contacting us.
- Get a copy. To request a copy of your data, email us and we will provide it.
- AI features. AI features are optional. You can choose not to use them, and you can turn off Cycle Tracking AI insights at any time.
- Permissions. You control Apple Health, Location, Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Bluetooth, and Notifications in iOS Settings, and you can change them at any time.
- Tracking. Whether VITA may track you for advertising is your choice when iOS asks, and you can change it at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you turn it off, VITA stops sending events to Meta right away, and purchases stop reaching Meta from RevenueCat the next time you open VITA signed in to that account.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it by changing the relevant setting, turning off the feature, or deleting your account.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are your consent, including your explicit consent for health information and your consent to tracking for advertising, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the rights to know, access, delete, and correct your personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. If you allow tracking, what VITA and RevenueCat send to Meta (Section 3) may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We do not sell or share personal information in any other way. You can opt out at any time by turning off tracking for VITA in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and VITA stops sending to Meta (purchases stop the next time you open VITA signed in to that account).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond as required by applicable law.
7. Children's privacy
VITA is not intended for children under 13. You must enter a date of birth showing you are at least 13 to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International users
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you use VITA from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
9. Subscriptions
VITA+ and our paid features are sold as Apple in-app purchases. VITA+ is an auto-renewing subscription: it renews through your Apple Account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your device's Settings. One-time unlocks do not renew. Passes last for the stated number of days and do not renew. Purchases are also governed by Apple's terms.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know in the app. If you keep using VITA after a change takes effect, the updated policy applies.
